Appeals and Judicial Review
If a party is unhappy with the result of a proceeding, the next step can be an appeal or an application for judicial review. Often the ability to appeal or seek review is time-limited, so it is important to seek legal advice immediately if you are considering taking that step.
We assist health professionals in seeking such reviews, or in responding to them. Examples include:
-
Appeal of a College decision to the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board
-
Judicial Review or Appeal of a decision of the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board
-
Appeal of a decision of the Consent and Capacity Board
-
Appeal of a decision of the Discipline Committee of a College
-
Appeal of a decision of the Superior Court of Justice to the Ontario Court of Appeal
